Everything in this article is on DHR; from the uprated oil pump to the extra front anti-roll bar, from the free-flow exhaust to the funny starter, from the big valve head to the Webber carb, from the negative front camber down to the Cosmic's. Remember I haven't added these 'extra's', they were on the car when I bought it and the previous owner, Steve Cook, also confirms this.

I checked with DVLA about this number and have been told they can find no information on it. No surprise there really!!! I've also checked with Vauxhall Motors who can confirm it was one of the first GT to be built but nothing more than that. It might not be DHR's original number but I would love to find out one way or the other, if anyone has any information on this number, or of course DHR, please, please contact me.

I've also tried to trace the magazine from where the article came but no luck there either and the author's initials, MLT, so again any information or hunches please let me know.

7th March 2008 NEWS UPDATE!...........I've found the article. Or rather Gregor Marshall did, so I can't take the credit. Gregor mailed me to say it was in 'Car' magazine in March 1971. I managed to find a copy and now have it in my collection. Still no further news as to whether this is even my car but I've come up with another plan. I've found the name of the head of the DVLA and written him a sad, pleading letter asking for his help. It may not work but at least he might get someone to try and find the information for me. He might just bin the letter but you never know!
