My viva Gt 1969.
I found it in the North of Sweden , 1 minut after I found it I call the guy and when 6 minuts was passed I bought it.
Nearly the fastest deal in the world, internet and bank transmission online is the main reason of the very quick deal.
To pick it up was the slowest deal in the world. I drove nearly 3800 km,s to pick it up.
The time before I spend nearly ten years searching to try to find a GT in this shape.
I use to have a lot of cars but the Viva GT couldn’t get out of my mind.
To compare with the loss of a GT, I bought my self a Gorgi GT, but was not happy enough, with a little GT on my night table, not even leaking oil.
The GT was bought new in 69, by a sailor in sweden, sold in 73, to a truck mechanic, he use it regularely until 83 when it was placed in a barn, there it was standing, until I found it in 99.
As a little boy in the 70, ties, my neighbour had a GT MK II , and I use to spend a lot of time, helping him wash and clean it, the payment for the job, use to be a fast trip to the store for a big ice cream.
The plates are a results of Norwegian 30 year or older import rouls, where you are able to put a plate number, that is original from a scrapped car, and not occupied.
If your car is older than 1971 model.
The letter R is from my community 35 years ago, and the numbers are indicating the model and liter volum.
And at the same time, the way it was, in the lovely sixtyes.

An update on Terry.
Terry has been a busy boy. He is very near to completing this little beauty. Its Chevy powered, small block, but I can't remember what. Now they've stopped the Newcastle ferry it will probably be a long time until we see it in this country. I'll just have to go and visit Norway. |
