I said I'd meet the lads at the BP petrol station just off the M1 at nine thirty. I'm the only one who lives in Hemel and I was the last there! Luckily they waited for me. We had five cars, two HC's two GT's and an HB.
It wasn't a very big show and the proceeds went to charity, so that's fine by me, but there was a very good turn out on a wonderfully sunny day. It is held at Langleybury Children's Farm set in the old Rothchild Estate in King's Langley. This was it's sixteenth year. The house is now boarded up which seems a great pity. The house was once a sister house to the Tring Park house where I now work.
We arrived at about ten and stayed until four just talking, eating cake, drinking tea and sitting in the sun. What a great way to spend a day. There were plenty of cars of all sorts to look at and you parked up where you could which I always like.

We arrive reasonably early so picked a nice spot just by the fence and near the old house. The house is very similar to Tring Park but seemed smaller.
By the afternoon they opened up the bottom field as more cars came in.
There was a very nice tidy HA at the top of the field which came in with the green Victor.
Moving on to non Vauxhall cars. These three muscled in close to our Viva's. My favorite is the black Corvette in the middle. I've always loved the shape of these.
When I was a kid I had a Corgi one of these and I played with it for hours, similar colour too if I remember.
DHR was like a magnet to nice cars, a lovely Lotus Carlton pulled up.
I had to put this in. It was a Fleetwood! It was about 3 football pitches long and 1 wide. It must've used 2 gallons to get out of the field.
They all came and went at the same time and all the V8's starting at once sounded brilliant.
I'm not sure what this was but the bloke also had a Convertible Jag as well.
